Friday Frag Bag – Solar Flare Edition

This one’s a quick one – because it’s only been about 4 days since my last Frag Bag, the Monday edition.  So screw it, FRAG OUT.

Weekly Accomplishments:

This week, I started off on the right foot.

Started to really put my foot down and get some progress and try to get the Onager finished.  Really, I have no complaints with where he’s at right now.  All I need to do is hit a few of the pistons, and detail a couple of the hoses and we’ll be good to go…

Then the fateful Tuesday, when I decided to go lamp shopping:

So naturally any forward momentum with the Onager stalled out as I started to put this new machine through its paces.  I reinstalled some games I haven’t been able to play in about a year or two (and in one case, 2011) and have generally been having a riot.

Obviously, I’ve been playing a lot of boats, only this time it’s on SUPER HIGH RESOLUTIONS.  It is *GLORIOUS*.  Seriously, the game is beautiful, and you should check it out if you get an opportunity.

The ironic thing, after having gone shopping for a lamp and coming home with a computer, the lamp didn’t even work.  NO LONGER… After a remarkably easy return process, the lamp is ALIVE.  And holy crap is it like looking into a solar flare.

It’s going to be a while before my eyes get adjusted, but the shadows have NO PLACE TO HIDE. MUAHAHAHAHA.

Goal Recap:

Though, looking at my synopsis of the week, this isn’t for lack of trying.

1. REPLACE LAMP (*sobs*) IT TOOK SOME DOING, BUT IT’S DONE.
2. Finish Skitarii Onager
3. Continue 5x Skitarii Rangers (stretch goal)

At least I had some progress to document.

Strategic Genius:

BUDGETS!  How does they work?!

Well, now that I’ve blown my hobby budget for the next 6-7 months on a Computer, it allows me all the time in the world to catch up on my painting queue, which stretches beyond the horizon.

Thing is, I have to stay motivated enough to paint.

So hopefully through blog posting and accountability measures I will remain diligent in at least attempting to paint.  This is not to say I’m not prone to distract—

Oh… Is that a boat?  Huh.  I should go play boats.

This is the best advertisement in the history of advertisements.  All other advertisers should probably contemplate retirement.
