The Flow’ry Meadow is actually the name that my wife gave my Baneblade. It stuck. The brutal irony of it just kills me (and many, MANY xenos.)
I’ve played Warhammer 40k since 3rd edition (with a long hiatus, skipping 4th and 5th entirely), and have the following armies mostly painted and ready to rock:
- Orkz – When I stopped collecting in 3rd edition, I had 2,000 points to put on the table. Now I’m down to 1,500, and the units I can put on the table are not really effective. Once I finish the Guard, I’ll pick these guys up once again. Lets be generous, and call approximately half of it painted.
- Tau – Seriously, I have a bit less than 1,000 points in Tau. Broadsides back then had twin-linked Railguns, and there were no such things as Rail Rifles, Piranhas, Skyrays, Riptides, or other nonsense like that. These guys may get carved up soon to feed the Orkz.
- Imperial Guard / Astra Militarum – The most recent addition to the bunch, and presently the largest, is the Guard. I can roll as high as 2,000 points, and have about 1,500 fully painted. I have a few more things to do with this Army before I buckle down and give the greenskins the time they deserve.
I typically play about once per week, and try to put up a battle report whenever possible. Feel free to leave me a comment, I typically respond fairly quickly.
