Productivity Update #5 – Scion Construction

Hey all!

Again, another gear shift… I can’t seem to focus on any one thing.  This one was more facilitated by the fact that the World Series was into Game 7 and I find it difficult to paint and watch bases-ball at the same time.  Thus, I started building me some Scions!

Happy Thanksgiving Eh?

To those Canadians (including myself) a very happy Thanksgiving!

At present I’m planning ahead for FIGHTAN in an Apocalypse battle to take place this next Saturday.  It’ll be an all-Imperial rumble with Dark Angels & Astra Militarum vs. Vanilla Marines, Grey Knights and Sisters of Battle, capped out at 5,000 points per side, 2,500 points per player.  It’ll build on a Narrative that we’ve had going for a while in a series of Apoc battles.  I’m not quite sure what to expect!

I’m playing around with my lists, and regretting I don’t have more (ie-any) Deathstrikes.

Because what kind of Thanksgiving battle would it be without a pair of Thermo-Nuclear explosions?

Cheers all,

-Oak

Thanksgiving to me means whiskey and cardigans. Also, family. :)

Productivity Update #1

Hey all!

I’m not really one to post to help stay accountable for my painting and whatnot, but this does seem like a good way to stay on top of things without breaking the bank account (for new models).  So this might start to be a ‘thing’.  Who knows.

I painted one of the heavy weapon teams in advance of the other two teams, because I needed to stick one in my Company Command Squad.  I’m just now getting around to the other two bases.  I kind of dreaded painting these guys based on my experience with the first one… I found it hard to working around the large base.

So here’s what’s on my desk presently, and please excuse the photography.

At this point I've got the fatigues mostly layered up and inked, working on highlighting greens, and skin-tones. I typically go on after the fact to work on the sandbags & other details.

Red means basecoating not yet complete. Yellow in progress. Green means all aspects completed. Some vehicles have multiple variants; it should be pretty intuitive to see what variants apply to each chassis.
